Men’s shed and Action Mental Health helped at the warehouse

25th February 2026

Last week, the team at the Antrim Foodbank was delighted to welcome volunteers from the local Men’s Shed group and Action Mental Health, who generously gave their time to support the busy warehouse operation.

They carefully weighed and sorted incoming food donations, making sure everything was accurately recorded and safely stored. Boxes of tinned goods, pasta, cereal and other essentials were then placed neatly onto the warehouse shelves, ready for distribution.

Another task they undertook was making up food packs. Following the foodbank’s guidelines, the volunteers selected a balanced range of items to create parcels tailored to support individuals and families facing hardship. Their teamwork, enthusiasm and attention to detail ensured that each pack was thoughtfully prepared.

The support from Men’s Shed and Action Mental Health highlights the power of community collaboration. By giving their time and energy, they have helped Antrim Foodbank continue its vital work—providing practical help and hope to those who need it most.
