#KeepTheLifeline

6th August 2021

1 in 12 people has used a food bank in the past year, according to data recently published by the Food Standards Agency. That is 7% of us.

People in the lowest income bracket are twice as likely to have received emergency food support.

More than half of people on income support are food insecure; they can’t reliably afford to eat enough food.

Now is not the time to cut the £20 a week lifeline from the most vulnerable in our community.  Instead, we need to ensure everyone has enough to afford the essentials and so end the need for food banks.

Let’s #KeepTheLifeline and help build a #HungerFreeFuture together.
